Emergency Vet - Animal Hospital

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as BufoToad poisoning, rat poisoning, hit by car, bee stings and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. It is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our staff will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our Client Service Representitive will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Emergency vet services are a fundamental cornerstone of our commitment to comprehensive pet care. Your pet isn't going to take "normal business hours" into consideration. Accidents do happen, and when disaster strikes, that is when you need a trained veterinary staff ready and able to help. If an emergency should arrise after "normal business hours", call (954) 280-5460 (VETS). Our phone lines are transferred directly to our referral emergency hospital, Lauderdale Veterinary Specialists and your call will alway get answered.

Our full service facility is located at:

550 NE 44th Street

Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334

Emergency Vet Services

If your pet has a medical emergency during our primary care veterinarian's regular office hours, we recommend first contacting us for a professional recommendation. If your pet requires a critical care facility and it is after normal business hours, we may recommend you immediately bring your pet to our emergency referral animal hospital for treatment.

If you think your pet may be sick or injured and you're not sure exactly what to do, please call our 24 hour vet care line at (954) 280-5460. When you call, an experienced veterinary care team member can help assess the situation and determine whether your pet needs to be seen by our referral emergency team.
