Benazepril

Benazepril is in a class of drugs called ACE inhibitors. It dilates the veins and decreases fluid retention. It is used to treat heart failure, high blood pressure, and some forms of kidney disease. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences a lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, collapse, increased thirst and/or changes in urination, a slow heart rate, or a weak pulse while being treated with benazepril. Do not abruptly start or stop this medication without approval by your veterinarian.
