Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the quinolone/fluoroquinolone class. It is used to treat many types of bacterial infections. Do NOT use in growing dogs, pregnant, or nursing animals, since it has an adverse effect on developing bones and joints. Use with caution in cats; higher doses can result in altered vision or blindness. Use all of the medication prescribed, or the infection is likely to recur or become worse. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, dilated pupils or blindness (in cats), or seizures while being treated with enrofloxacin.
