Atropine Opthalmic

Atropine is used to dilate the eye. It may be used to reduce pain after eye injury or surgery in multiple species of animals. It may also be used in the treatment of certain types of glaucoma. Do not use in animals with primary glaucoma. Keep animals being treated out of bright light. If atropine gets into the mouth, the animal will often salivate. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences constipation, vomiting, an increase in body temperature, abnormal heart rates or rhythms, or has difficulty urinating while being treated with atropine ophthalmic preparations.
